Like everyone else, I was no different for having the fear for unknown and concern for failure. After going through all the ups and downs in my life, fear has become the biggest failure for my life.
Rather spending time to be scared, I found moving forward fast is the best solution. After all, you are as smart as you can be. Moving fast allows you to make mistakes quick (assuming you don't get it right) and re-do again as long as time is allowed.
Believe or not, no one cares about losers in today's fast pace world. Same goes with yesterday's glory and today's glory, it won't give you the promise for tomorrow. I assume this KY-analogy applies to your failure as well.
As I keep telling people, I am as smart as I can be. I can't make all the right decisions, and I don't feel there is something wrong with it at all. Don't even bother to expect me to be shame for it... I have to refuse it. I only focus on what I can do with what I have and take the immedidately action that I can execute today - right now. Then, I measure the output and gathering more resources from my last execution to attack the same issue again (assuming my last try failed - cheers for that).
Some of people around me might be laughing at me and telling me that I should know better and learn more. Unfortunrity for those people, this "loser", in their eyes, just don't know how to give up or be stopped. He will try again with what he knows a bit more than last time. After all, how many of those people been through the process and had the chance for failure.
Again, when you read this blog, you can laugh about it or judge me, or you can think about your own "fear of unknown and fear of failure". If you see yourself can overcome it, I am gladly to be connected with you at linkedin.
Cheer,
